Como ya comenté en el post sobre como retapizar una banqueta de piano, con la tela de imitación piel que me sobró decidí hacer algunos pequeños bolsos o monederos.

As you know from my post about re-covering my piano stool, I had some faux leather fabric left, so I decided to use it to sew some little handbags or purses.

Primero compré unas  cuantas cremalleras del tamaño que quería usar para los monederos y de colores que combinaran bien con el marrón de la tela.

I bought some zippers that fit the size and color of the purses.

La coloqué sobre la tela con los derechos encarados y lo pasé a la máquina.

I placed it over the fabric with right sides facing each other and ran it through the sewing machine.

Sujeté la otra parte de la cremallera al otro extremo de la tela y también la cosí.

I pinned the other part of the zipper to the fabric (right sides together again) and sewed them too.

Con un resto de tela de lino que tenía probé a dibujar y colocar un proyecto de etiqueta (no os riáis que es un poco ridícula… jejeje).

With some linen fabric I made a kind of label (don’t laugh I know it’s a bit ridiculous… hehehe)

La coloqué en uno de los lados del monedero entre las dos capas de tela con los derechos encarados y la cosí. También cosí el otro lateral del monedero.

I placed it in one of the sides of the purse between the fabric with right sides facing and sewed all together. I also sewed the other side of the purse.

Y ya tenemos la creación lista para regalar. Sólo he hecho dos de momento y han ido a parar a Cuinetes y a Pancakes. Debajo os muestro otro monedero con la cremallera en color crema.

And we have our little creation ready to give it away. I only have made two by now and I gave them to Cuinetes and Pancakes. As you can see, for the second one I chose a cream zipper.
